During the look development phase, I like to use a form of the cut/up technique, combining existing renders to inspire new compositions. This method allows a designer to really enter a state of play, essential to discovering the personality of a UI.

As often happens with projects as large as this, there were multiple vendors tasked with developing the same UI and by the time Post came around, the blue and pink look had been adopted. I thought it looked great, just not where I was going with it. The following screens were designed by myself in the new look, and include some elements from another vendor.
